A long way from her hometown of Norfolk, England, Jude graduated from The University of Virginia’s Nursing program in 1999.  She obtained her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from the University of Maryland in 2004. 

 

As a nurse, Jude has worked in acute care at UVA, the Medicine Intensive Care Unit at Georgetown University Hospital, and in-patient Hospice in Maryland. As an FNP she has provided outpatient care for lung transplant patients at UVA, followed by outpatient primary care in women’s health.  After a 5-year break staying home with her young children, Jude returned to work as the daytime clinician at the Orange County Free Clinic and became their Medical Director for the last 2 years she was there.

 

Jude is also a Clinical Herbalist with 10 years of experience and continuous training. She incorporates holistic assessment skills and the value of herbs and supplements when assessing the needs for each client. She began to integrate all of her experience while working with Dr Zach Bush at the M Clinic and now by starting her own practice, Integrative Primary Care.

In her spare time, Jude teaches classes in walking meditation and works with labyrinths (building temporary and permanent labyrinths on the east coast of the US and in England).  She also sings traditional Irish songs with local bands, spends as much time as she can in the woods and mountains, and most importantly enjoys laughing and hanging out with her husband and 3 children.
